Öndör Gongor, a Mongolian man afflicted with gigantism who was reliably measured to stand 7 ft 9 in tall. The son of a herder, Gongor eventually came to work at the palace of Bogd Khan where he served at various points as an accountant, bodyguard and keeper for an elephant. 1922 [641 x 466]
