French socialist revolutionary Louis Auguste Blanqui, 1880. Blanqui’s career in revolutionary politics spanned over 50 years from before the 1830 revolution to after the Paris commune. He was one of the earliest advocates of communism & an influence on Marx, & spent 33 years in prison (4587×3127)
