A 1936 demonstration in Vienna by the “Fatherland Front,” the authoritarian, right-wing, Catholic nationalist party that governed Austria prior to it’s 1938 takeover by Nazi Germany. The Front’s former leader Englebert Dollfuss had been assassinated in 1934 for publicly opposing Hitler. (2000×1057)
